About Springfield, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Springfield, Ohio is the county seat of Clark County. This city is situated on the Mad River, Beaver Creek, and Buck Creek, about 45 miles west of Columbus and 25 miles northeast of Dayton. As of 2010, the population had exceeded 60,600 residents. Springfield is also home to Clark State Community College and Wittenberg University, a local liberal arts college, and notable city residents include singer John Legend and Grey’s Anatomy star Justin Chambers.

As a major city, Springfield has a variety of great attractions that can appeal to both visitors and residents. Shopping is popular in this city, with unique local stores including the Springfield Antique Center, Champion City Guide and Supply, and Heart of Ohio Antiques. Popular sites and landmarks include Frank Lloyd Wright’s Westcott House, the Hartman Rock Garden, and Goodhope Speedway.

Outdoor recreation is also popular in Springfield, despite the community’s urban feel. The start of the Little Miami Scenic Trail is found in Springfield, and this 80 mile paved rail-trail is popular with cyclists and hikers. The Locus Hills Golf Course and Reid Park Golf Course are great destinations for fans of the sport, and Buck Creek State Park and the George Rogers Clark Park also serve as popular destinations.

Springfield residents will need to invest in both energy-efficient home heating and cooling systems to utilize at different times of the year. Summers are hot and humid, with high temperatures reaching the mid-80s. Without having a reliable air conditioning unit in place, residents could be at risk of suffering from heat-related illnesses. Likewise, winters tend to be cold but dry, with minimal to moderate snowfall. Despite the lack of precipitation, freezing temperatures can be extremely dangerous, so residents are wise to service their heat pump or furnace systems during the autumn months to ensure they are functioning properly when needed.
